Crumble bar founder leaves nine-to-five job to serve treats full-time

Shelley Crosby ran Norfolk Crumble from a converted horsebox for a few years before opening a permanent base in Hamilton Road, Cromer, in October.

She has now revealed she is leaving her role at a well-known insurance firm to focus on the shop.

From May 1, the opening hours will be extended, so customers will no longer have to wait until the evenings and weekends to get their hands on something tasty.

The business, which sits next door to The Bucket List, attracted queues soon after the launch.

TikTok food reviewer Alex Green visited in the early weeks and ranked the classic apple and Biscoff crumble a strong 8.5 out of 10.

He then returned just months later for Cromer’s New Year’s Day fireworks event.

Norfolk Crumble's menu has also recently expanded to add loaded brownies, Italian-style hot chocolates and thick shakes designed in collaboration with Dann’s Luxury Norfolk Ice Cream.

The latest addition is a stacked breakfast pancake menu, with toppings including banoffee, strawberries and cream, and maple syrup with vanilla ice cream.

The new opening hours will be revealed next week.
