The Canary and Linnet pub near Dereham had been frequented by supporters of King's Lynn Town and Norwich City due to its position on the A47, up until it closed several years ago.

The watering hole marks the halfway point between Norwich and King’s Lynn, with its name referring to the two teams.

Malcolm and Mandy Clark, a couple from South Africa, took over the pub earlier this year and have been refurbishing it, with the aim of opening it at the start of 2026.

Work to rebuild the kitchen of the Warehouse Restaurant and Taproom in Setchey, King’s Lynn, began at the end of September - almost a year after it was significantly damaged by a fire.

It is due to reopen in February after a significant rebuild.
