Fed-up neighbours call for action over parking and speeding issues

People living along Corbet Avenue, which has a 20mph speed limit, say they face double danger from drivers who often speed down their road and others who park on the pavement.

This, they say, makes it unsafe for pedestrians and the children who go to school at Sprowston Community Academy at the end of the road.

There is also a lack of parking restrictions, which people living on the road say makes it "horrendous" in the afternoons when parents park on the pavement to pick up their children.

The combined issues make it difficult for people who want to leave their driveway but struggle to see around parked cars to oncoming traffic.

Michelle Gosling, who lives on Corbet Avenue, said: "People will park at the junction near the school and block the paths.

"I've had people park across my drive, and others blocking each other in.
