'Self-taught' Wymondham man is honoured by the King |
George Szirtes arrived in England "penniless" in 1956 with his family when he was just eight to escape the Hungarian Revolution.
Having to learn English as a second language, Mr Szirtes then went on to publish his first book at the age of 29.
