New operators reveal plans for 'proper pub' at derelict art deco venue

The Iron Duke, a Grade II-listed pub on North Drive in Great Yarmouth, has stood empty since 2007.

But a £2.4 million grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund - alongside support from Historic England - is funding what the Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust hopes will be a full and faithful revival of the 1930s landmark.

In recent days, fitters have been installing replicas of the building’s original curved art deco windows.
