County Hall leader warns of risks if elections happen - but does not request delay |
Kay Mason Billig, leader of Conservative-run County Hall, sent a letter on Thursday ahead of the deadline to the government's invitation to local authorities to request postponements to this year's elections.

Mrs Mason Billig, who had said in advance she had no intention of asking for a delay to the May county council elections, did not do so, saying that was a decision for the Labour government.
But she did warn that, should the election go ahead, then it could threaten proposals to devolve powers to local councils and for the government's plans to abolish and replace all of Norfolk's councils.
