For one of the subterranean animals appears to have moved into the front garden of the house tipped to become his new home on the Sandringham Estate.

The front lawn at Marsh Farm, at Wolferton, is pock-marked with molehills - the heaps of soil the creatures throw up when digging burrows with their powerful front claws.

The molehills have appeared in recent weeks, as work has also started on renovating the property ready for the former Duke of York to move in.
