Plans for an earth bank to screen homes in Castle Rising from the cacophony of the A149 have been refused over safety fears.
Castle Rising Estate applied to construct the bund along part of Queen Elizabeth Way on either side of the River Babingley, near King's Lynn.
But West Norfolk Council said it had failed to demonstrate that the proposed bank would not affect the "structural integrity" of the A149, due to the amount of built-up soil required to create........
