New visitor centre opens as archaeological dig celebrates 30 years in Norfolk village |
Volunteers from the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project (SHARP) are pitching their tents on a makeshift campsite across the valley from the modern-day settlement this weekend, ready for the start of this season's campaign.
They'll arrive to find a new building filled with display cases at the entrance to the site off the Snettisham Road, which are packed with remains and relics unearthed during previous digs, from Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo Saxon times.
