Keir Starmer intervenes over early release of drug driver jailed for killing family

Jade Mace, 25, her mother Lisa Carter, 49 and her step-father Paul Carter, 41, died when Aurelijus Cielevicius's BMW collided with their Vauxhall Mocha on the A47 in January, 2023.

Cielevicius, now 42, from King's Lynn, was jailed for 10 and a half years after admitting three counts on causing death by dangerous driving in November of that year.

Now surviving family members have been told he may be released after just three years in order to be deported.

The case was raised in Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday by North West Norfolk MP James Wild.
