Woman says sentence given to her stalker is an 'absolute joke' as he is spared jail |
Tanya Amies described the suspended sentence given to Ryan Hall as "an absolute joke".
Hall had previously admitted assaulting Miss Amies and had a restraining order imposed not to contact her or visit the home they previously shared.
But while a judge described the harassment he subjected her to afterwards as "serious", he gave him a suspended jail term, unpaid work and a fresh restraining order when he appeared at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday.
Hall, 36, of Hatch Meadow, North Walsham had earlier admitted stalking Miss Amies, 30, for three months after the couple separated in February, 2025.
Pamela Muniya, prosecuting, said he turned up at her home and workplace, sent abusive messages, continually tried to contact her and posted material about her online.

Mrs Muniya said he had caused Miss Amies "significant fear and distress", which affected her ability to work or feel safe in her own home.
She added his conduct had also had "a severe psychological impact"........
