Sewage spill sees waste flow into Brancaster harbour during half term heatwave

The incident happened at Brancaster Staithe, which is owned by the National Trust, and saw waste water overflow from a drain and into creek leading to the main harbour.

Anglian Water workers were called out and fixed the issue, which locals say highlights the pressures placed on the sewage system when the village's many second homes are filled over the half term holiday.
