Group calls for clarity over nuclear weapons at Suffolk airbase

Sophie Bolt, general secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), has written to the Prime Minister and Defence Secretary, John Healey, asking for information on whether B61-12 bombs are being kept at the Suffolk airbase.

It follows comments made by the US administrator of the national nuclear security administration, Jill Hruby.

She said the "new B61-12 gravity bombs are fully forward deployed".
