Award honours local businesses accelerating net zero goals
The winner of the Net Zero Award will be an organisation that is making significant progress towards net zero emissions, demonstrating a clear understanding of their current carbon impact and strategies to reduce it.
“Entrants for the Net Zero Award should have already analysed their impacts, made clear plans to achieving net zero and have tangible results to demonstrate,” said Luke Bridgman, managing director of award sponsor Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm.
“They won’t necessarily have completed their journey, but they will be a good way down the path.”
Mr Bridgman explained how entrants’ net zero ambitions should be “authentic”, with clear targets, strategies to meet them and buy-in from senior management.
