Rooftop Gardens in Rose Lane is operated by Oceanfront GOS Ltd, which entered the liquidation process on January 27 this year, owing creditors more than £1.2 million.

The company was due in court the following day for owing HMRC more than £408,000 in VAT, with the tax office filing a winding-up petition to shut the company down.

Oceanfront GOS Ltd's sole director is Antonia Hillier. Its largest unsecured creditor, owed £540,000, is Caps Property Limited - a company run by Miss Hillier and her brother Sotiris Christophi.
