The new initiative, known as Creative Intent, will take the theatre through to 2032 by building on the work of its last strategy which saw the theatre bounce back after Covid.

Stephen Crocker, the theatre's chief executive and creative director, said it marks a "new chapter" for the venue.

"Creative Intent builds on the foundations of the past four years, carrying forward what we have learned while responding to the challenges and opportunities ahead," he said.

“Fundamentally, this strategy is rooted in Norwich Theatre’s core purpose: to provide creative experiences and to ensure those experiences have a wide-reaching positive impact.

"By 2032, it is our intent that Norwich Theatre should be known not only for the quality of its work, but for its impact and public value - as a creative force helping people, places and ideas to thrive."
