ISLAMABAD: Taking a lead to the next generation, Jazz has successfully conducted a trial of Pakistan’s first 1.2 terabytes per second (Tbps) data transfer, at the optical fibre network with an enhancement of 50 per cent from the existing data transfer speed.

The achievement to reach 1,200 Gigabytes per Second (Gbps) against the existing capacities of the transport network of around 800 Gbps over a single wavelength, is considered a step towards internet-based solutions including the launch of 5G service.
