Tensions between Zohran Mamdani and Benjamin Netanyahu have deepened after the Israeli prime minister fired back at the mayor’s video accusing him of genocide, claiming that Mamdani is “formenting hate.”

In an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Netanyahu railed against the outstanding warrant against him from the International Criminal Court, calling the body’s ruling into question following the recent ouster of its chief prosecutor Karim Khan over sexual misconduct. The prime minister said that Mamdani is basing his arguments against him on Khan’s “bogus charges” and accused the mayor’s recent video of being “hate speech” directed at both him and Israel.

“He’s fomenting hate. He’s supposed to be the mayor of all New Yorkers: Jews, Christians, Muslims, everyone. But he’s trying to turn one group against the other, and he’s foisting hate and fear,” Netanyahu said Sunday. “I speak to Jewish Americans in New York and they’re afraid right now.”
