We're all still taking it in here at ChronicleLive and we're sure that the rest of the city also woke up this chilly March Monday morning thinking, "was that a dream?"

But it wasn't - Newcastle United really did lift the Carabao Cup trophy at Wembley yesterday, rewriting the history of the club in a moment that has meant so much to the Magpies' legions of fans.

Many of those fans are travelling back from London today after soaking up the atmosphere at Wembley Stadium, on Wembley Way and in Covent Garden for not one but two parties that showed there's no party like a Newcastle party.
