Anthony Gordon ended Euro 2024 with just an injury time cameo against Slovenia but looked like a man who was using the experience to fuel himself for future triumphs - hopefully with club and country.
Despite enduring his own personal blow at not playing Gordon was one of the first to console senior stars such as John Stones, Bukayo Saka and Luke Shaw but he also seemed to use the night as surveillance experience for a major event and was spotted taking an interest in lots of action off the ball.
The Newcastle United star now heads off for his summer break after a wonderful season with 12 goals and 11 assists for the Magpies. He won an England call-up after getting the nod ahead of big hitters like Jack Grealish and James Maddison in Germany but was the reduced to role of a back-up squad player.
