Let’s take a team-by-team look at The Final Stretch.

EDMONTON ELKS 10-3 | 1st WEST DIVISION

The Elks have been pointed up all year, and now they’re riding even higher after sweeping their OK Tire Labour Day Weekend home-and-home with Calgary. That sweep included Saturday’s dominant 53-16 display in front of a season-high crowd at Commonwealth Stadium. Edmonton has won four straight games overall and have control of the West.

With a two-game lead on top of the division, the Elks control their own fate when it comes to clinching a number one seed and a first-round playoff bye. A 4-1 finish will automatically lock it up for Edmonton, as will any combination of wins and Saskatchewan losses totalling that magical digit.

SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS 8-5 | 2nd WEST DIVISION

After splitting their annual autumn home-and-home with Winnipeg, the Roughriders now have a steeper climb if they want to reel in first place.
