I don’t normally write about the anti-Zionist position or right-wing antisemitism because they are (for now) both mostly irrelevant in Canada. I do not mean that you will not find anti-Zionism or right-wing antisemitism in Canada. I mean that the polite mainstream in Canada has cleansed itself of both of these positions. The folks who determine what good Canadians should be thinking and talking about to preserve our fragile discourse are, if nothing else, equal opportunity controversy-avoiders.

If I was to address these positions, I would begin by pointing out the fatal flaw that joins them. Namely: both of these positions hold that Jews are responsible for the hate that they face. It’s not that Tucker Carlson and the regimes who pay him are unable to look in the mirror and accept that they are responsible for their own diminished situations. It isn’t that Candace Owens is clearly deranged, Kanye West style. Rather, for these, Nick Fuentes, and others, it is the Jews who foment division between Christians and Muslims as opposed the fundamental incompatibility of those two religions and who somehow tricked poor dumb Americans into getting involved in
