I think we can agree that there are some truly goofy things going on in America today. This is the first of what will probably be a never-ending series of short articles to simply bring to your attention things I never thought I’d see in the America I grew up in (remember I’m a Boomer).

There is the honorable Kathy Hochul, Governor of the Great State of New York. In 2023, Governor Hochul made a big announcement that if rich people didn’t like the way her Democratic administration was running and taxing the state, she invited them to move somewhere they liked better. In retrospect, I suspect Governor Hochul thought she was running a bluff because she thought nobody would leave. WRONG, CAMEL BREATH!

Now here we are in 2026, and at a recent presentation Governor Kathy Hochul was begging all the rich people and corporations that accepted her invitation to leave New York to please come back. She said you owe it to the state. To further entice them to return, she promised she would abuse them with even higher taxes and even asked them to write the State of New York a check.

What a deal Kathy Hochul has for rich people in the state of New York! Brings tears to your eyes, doesn’t it?

New York, you do, in fact, have the government you deserve.

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
