Franklin’s quote foretells the future if We the People don’t man-up and fix the problems in Washington. We the People are the only ones who can fix the problem;

For most of the last 100 years, most people have acknowledged that American politics was controlled by the respective political machines of the Democrat and Republican parties. The driving forces were the Democrat National Committee machine and the Republican National Committee machine. Down steam from national level machines are the respective state level machines for each party, the county/parish level machines, and in major cities, there are significant city level machines.

I would say that George Washington was concerned about political parties and did a nice job of describing what we now call........
