For years, I was aware of this video by farm labor icon Cesar Chavez where he denounced illegal alien workers. It always struck me as a paradox given the 'migrant worship' posture of twenty-first century Latino activism and pale progressive enablers.

Serious sexual abuse allegations are circulating against him this year. This is the first I've heard of them. Consequently, I'll reserve comment right now.

Civil rights leader Dolores Huerta issues statement accusing Cesar Chavez of sexual abuse (Channel Four, Los Angeles, March 18th, 2026).

Time will tell whether this serious claim is true.

What's also true is how alleged misconduct is often aired during politically charged times: US Senate confirmation hearings, presidential campaigns and this year's consequential congressional midterm elections. The fate of Trump-era deportation lies in the balance on the 2026 ballot. Though not exclusively, the faction often making sexual abuse claims is from the left side of the 'bipartisan 'big house' as I call the two-party system, also known as a 'duopoly' or 'uniparty'.

Chavez is either another in a series of high profile secret sexual abusers or the latest public figure sullied by progressives in their mad dash toward total political power. The fact that he is a labor rights hero for Latino Americans means nothing if it helps mobilize anti-Trump voters against immigration enforcement.

Their goal is electing a Democratic Speaker of the US House at all costs. And a US Senate Majority Leader from their party too as icing on the cake.

We will see if this trending issue dethrones Cesar Chavez as a labor rights hero.
