I Almost Died Last Year On This Date (6/11/25)

I find myself fighting my fight with a new body that's similar to the old one but needs more fine tuning;

I almost died from a blood clot last year on my left lung near my heart. Not being melodramatic, but had I opted to 'sit this one out,' as with past lesser ailments, I wouldn't be sitting here now.

As near-death experiences (NDEs) go, it wasn't that big a deal.

I didn't see the Angel Gabriel or other celestial beings, nor the bright white light folks from many faiths, and the faithless, reported during their NDEs.

The episode was extremely painful, so much so that I couldn't tie my shoes. Breathing ceased the instant I leaned over. Thanks once again to a New Orleans firefighter who........
