The fraud scandal currently unfolding in Minnesota primarily involves the Somali community. The scale of this fraud is so extensive that evidence suggests the commonly cited $9 billion estimate in taxpayer costs may actually be significantly underestimated.
While the Minnesota state systems that enabled this blatant theft of taxpayer funds cannot be entirely blamed on incompetence, whistleblowers have revealed that Governor Tim Walz and others were not only aware of the situation but actively sought to conceal the corruption.
