A love letter to Flares, our favourite Peterborough night out

If you were to go on a night out in Peterborough about 10 years ago you would be spoilt for choice when it came to choosing a venue for your night of dancing.

Nowadays it's a bit more limited.

Once you've polished off your pitcher in the College Arms you face the age-old question: where next?

Your choices aren't numerous. You could either go to Solstice, with its limited dancefloor but impressive terrace area, or make your way across the street (attempting to dodge the taxis hurtling past) to Edwards, Red Room or Flares.

So really it's a choice between two venues, as Edwards, Flares and Red Room are all in the same building, and once you're into one you're into them all.

Next comes the decision: which queue is faster? Do you go in through Edwards and make your way up to Flares? Or go in through Red Room and make your way through the weird UV corridor to Flares?

Now I've never been a massive fan of Red Room, from the music, to the atmosphere and the questionable behaviour of some people - I mean........
