16 and 17-year-olds could vote at next general election in huge change
Government ministers are expected to announce plans today to extend voting rights to 16 and 17-year-olds in England. This significant change would represent one of the largest overhauls of the electoral system in recent years, granting over a million additional individuals the opportunity to influence the country's governance.
