Cambridgeshire Live readers were left baffled after an overflowing bin in Cherry Hinton was labelled a “crime scene”. The bin, located between Eland Way and Yarrow Road, had been full for more than a week before being cleared.

Resident Kirstie Harris, who first noticed the mess on August 18, shared her frustration online, asking: “What is wrong with people?” She later told CambridgeshireLive: “I don’t understand why it hasn’t been removed as it’s been there a week. Obviously, someone has put the stickers on the bags, but how does that help?”

After CambridgeshireLive contacted South Cambridgeshire District Council, the bin was emptied on Tuesday........
