Now Smith is compared to Hitler’s Nazis.

Bell: Danielle Smith a Nazi — Rachel Notley and Lukaszuk should be denounced Back to video

And she is not compared to the Nazis by the usual unhinged social media bottom feeder.

Smith is slimed by the former premier of Alberta. That’s Rachel Notley.

Smith is also slimed by the former deputy premier of Alberta. That’s Thomas Lukaszuk.

And, by the way, Lukaszuk is also the main man for the anti-independence side of the Alberta independence debate.

These are big names. They should know better. This should be beneath them.

Just to warm up her devoted NDP followers she says Smith is making racism great again.

She accuses Smith of promoting racism and compares Smith to U.S. President Donald Trump. Just mentioning Trump gets bonus points from the true believers.

But that’s nothing compared to what follows.

Notley takes a prose poem from a German pastor condemning those who stood by while the vile monsters of Hitler’s Nazism targeted, persecuted and murdered millions.

We’re talking concentration camps. We’re talking gas chambers. Mass extermination. The systematic murder of six million Jews. All of the killing, all of the evil of Nazism.

The pastor writes how the Nazis first came for their political opponents and then came for the Jews.

In Notley’s bizarre rewriting, they came for trans people but they are not Nazis who came, as they are in pastor’s writing.

“They” are now clearly Smith and the UCP.

Then they, Smith and the UCP now being compared to Nazis, came for the unionized workers.

Next it was the judges.

What exactly did Smith and the UCP do so horrific to these union workers and judges?

How can they be compared to Hitler’s victims?

Now, they’re coming for the immigrants.

Hang on here. In Notley’s rewrite, immigrants take the place of the murdered Jews under Nazism written about by the pastor.

“If you think that you or someone you love won’t be next, you’re sorely mistaken,” concludes Notley.

Notley obviously justifies what she has done by saying Smith is the worst premier in the history of Alberta so it is no holds barred.

Step up, Thomas Lukaszuk.

Lukaszuk was the deputy premier of Alberta in the Progressive Conservative government of former premier Alison Redford.

Lukaszuk is also the driving force behind a pro-Canada petition campaign.

He is also Polish born so he knows all about Nazis and what they did and how comparisons to those scum should be carefully considered and then avoided altogether.

Lukaszuk speaks of immigrants and Smith’s proposals on immigration and says populist governments need a scapegoat.

For Hitler it was the Jews, says Lukaszuk.

Connect the dots. Hitler, Smith. Same sorts, different victims.

Who are these people?

I have been saying this for a year.

When someone presents a certain position the self-styled progressives really don’t like, that individual is often reviled as the lowest form of life and it appears can now even be compared to a Nazi.

And all of this because Smith is asking Albertans to vote on whether they want those with a non-permanent legal immigration status to pay some amount for services such as health care and education.

Smith calls this Nazi comparison talk “gross” and “disgusting.”

“If you’re going to call somebody a Nazi you better be referring to the Holocaust and the devastation that caused to the Jewish people. It is disgusting language and it should never be used.”

Smith says she is willing to have a serious conversation about immigration.

In the Oct. 19 referendum vote Albertans will be asked if they want the government to put citizens and permanent residents first when to comes to taxpayer-funded programs.

Ask yourself this put the shoe on the other foot question.

Can you imagine if a conservative made these Nazi comparisons of Notley or Lukaszuk?

There would be an uproar. The Notley/Lukaszuk supporters would publicly pounce on the speaker, tar and feather them and then curb stomp them.

They would be cancelled in an instant.

Instead, Notley’s followers on Facebook greeted the former premier’s comments with Likes and Loves and Hahas.

So where once everyone who didn’t agree with self-styled progressives could be condemned as a traitor.

Now apparently everyone who doesn’t agree with self-styled progressives could now face being cast in a new role.
