Bell: Danielle Smith claims win after high-stakes sit-down with Mark Carney

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith wants us to notice something on Friday afternoon.

Up until now the premier would tell us what would happen IF a deal to move forward on a pipeline is signed with Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Now Smith talks about what will happen WHEN a deal to move forward on a pipeline to the west coast is inked.

The premier isn’t counting her chickens before they hatch but she sure sounds like she can hear the chicks pecking loudly at the egg shell to get out.

Before Friday’s chinwag with Carney, Smith says she hoped to get to the finish line.

After the sit-down with Carney on Friday, Smith is all smiles. Not a forced diplomatic smile but a real one. Ear to ear.

Smith can’t wait to start spreading the news. Significant progress. Much more........
