The world is being invited to invest in Canada. Let’s make it an offer they can’t refuse.

That’s exactly the spirit behind Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first Canada Investment Summit, and it’s the right move. Bringing together global investors, CEOs and institutional capital to build projects, create jobs and grow the economy is exactly the kind of ambition this moment demands. The target of unlocking up to $1 trillion in private investment over the coming years is bold and worth organizing the country around.

Canada has what the world needs. There are very few places on earth with this combination of natural resources, talent, institutional stability and pension capital — and investors know it. The opportunity in front of us is real.
