The Argentine Football Association confirmed recently that eight trophies will be up for grabs in 2026. The addition of the Campeón de Liga title — controversially awarded to Rosario Central for 2025 — and the Recopa de Campeones will increase the chances  of your club taking some silverware home next year.

While most of these trophies were in contention already, fans have complained the new titles throw a spanner in the works of an already complicated format. Indeed, while the league format will remain — largely — the same, the Campeón de Liga adds a new dimension to it.
