The 2026 Madrid Open, one of the most prestigious clay-court tournaments on the tennis circuit, gets underway on Thursday, with several Argentine players hoping to make a strong run.

There will be 11 Argentine players in the men’s and women’s singles draws after 36-year-old Marco Trungelliti (world No. 77) entered as a lucky loser following the withdrawal of Belgium’s Raphael Collignon.
