1st qualifying final, v Collingwood, MCG, 7.50pm Friday Sept 6

The Cats are relatively healthy heading into their qualifying final against Collingwood at the MCG, with Mitch Duncan escaping serious shoulder damage after a scare against Carlton on Saturday. Defender Jake Kolodjashnij missed the win over the Blues with a hip complaint but Geelong are confident he'll be available for week one of the finals. Tom Atkins (hand) went in for surgery last week but is expected to be ready for the qualifying final and could be called upon in Saturday's VFL elimination final against Port Melbourne. First-year player Jordan Clark (elbow) is set to take on The Borough as he stakes his claim to play against Collingwood. Veteran Lachie Henderson's position in the senior 22 looks vulnerable. Coach Chris Scott has said the Cats will take a horses-for-courses approach when it comes to finals selection.

The Magpies suddenly have a relatively welcome selection dilemma over injured players. Despite a long injury list the Magpies welcome back three players who are all certain must-have inclusions to the team; Jordan De Goey, Jaidyn Stephenson and Steele Sidebottom. Assuming Darcy Moore is fit and not ruled out by the hamstring tightness that saw him sit out the second half of the win over Essendon then the three inclusions will force three players out who will all........
