High-speed rail is a distraction. Just make the trains better.
Some are disappointed with the speed of Amtrak’s new NextGen Acela trains. But if a billion dollars could buy either 10 extra minutes or high-speed Wi-Fi that always worked, I think I know which most riders would choose.
