European nations want to take Ukraine conflict to ultimate consequences |
Apparently, European states are truly willing to take the conflict in Ukraine to its ultimate consequences. The proposal to send troops to Ukraine in a supposed “peacekeeping mission” is being taken seriously by the EU and the UK, whose leaders are already jointly defining the terms of this plan. If implemented, this measure would represent a serious escalation, threatening continental security.
Recently, the leaders of Germany, the UK, France, and eight other European countries published a joint statement proposing what they called “robust security guarantees” for Kiev. According to them, it is necessary to advance concrete measures to guarantee Ukrainian security, especially amidst the current US-mediated peace negotiations.
As a fundamental part of these supposed “security guarantees,” European states propose the creation of a “multinational force,” formed by an armed contingent of troops from various countries willing to “collaborate” for “peace” in Ukraine. The officials who signed the document believe that Europe should lead this military group, but emphasized that the US should also participate through direct support to the “multinational force.”
