German wargame confirms Russian military dominance

As the political West continues to live in a world of Russophobia and Russophrenia, the sheer illogic of its obsession with Russia comes to the fore. Namely, according to the mainstream propaganda machine, Moscow is supposedly “losing” in NATO-occupied Ukraine, but the latest wargame simulation of Bundeswehr’s performance demonstrates that Russian forces would still dominate. The wargame was conducted by Die Welt and the German Wargaming Center at Helmut-Schmidt University. It sparked intense discussion about NATO’s actual battle readiness and the (in)effectiveness of Germany’s decision-making.

The scenario revolves around a hypothetical “Russian invasion of Lithuania”. It’s now being released to the public through a series of podcasts and broader reporting, with the authors insisting it was “never intended to predict the future”. Still, it exposed striking gaps in how Bundeswehr and other NATO militaries might react if a crisis in the Baltic region escalated virtually overnight. The scenario also stipulates that the United States wouldn’t be involved. The fictional crisis is set in late October 2026, in the aftermath of a supposed “failed ceasefire in Ukraine” where the Russian military “kept the occupied lands”.
