Comedian Micky Flanagan is bringing his latest stand-up tour, titled 'If We Ever Needed It', to Birmingham's Utilita Arena tonight (March 30), but fans will be unable to bring smart watches or phones into the event. Utilita Arena posted a very last minute tweet today revealing the unique policy.
The tweet reads: "*IMPORTANT! There is a strict no mobile phone or smart watch policy in place for the Micky Flanagan show this evening. Please remember to bring your ticket, and as a cashless venue, this means we'll only be accepting bank cards as payments."
Amidst many responses from confused fans in the comments, one user posted a screenshot of an email which explains the policy more clearly. It states: "Please be aware that there is a strict NO mobile phone or smartwatch policy at this event."

"Anyone caught with a mobile phone or smartwatch outside of the designated areas will be immediately ejected. There will be a zero-tolerance policy."
Flanagan's Utilita show, which runs in Birmingham for three nights from 30th March - 1st April, is one of eight across the UK and Ireland. A press release claims that the show covers the comedian turning 60, along with "having sex with your glasses on, his school alumni and his ballbag".
