Rep. Stanton criticizes Biden's pardon, the right way

On Sunday, Joe Biden broke his word and granted his son one of the most generous pardons ever issued by an American president.

Hunter Biden will now enjoy immunity from prosecution for crimes he may have committed over the 11 years that span Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024.

Some of those years go back to when Hunter ran the family grift, peddling influence and access to his father, the then-vice president.

That Hunter got fabulously rich off his father’s name and title was no mystery to Joe Biden.

Had he been an ethical man, he would have sat his son down long ago and promised him the gates of hell if he didn’t close the bazaar.

But Joe Biden never had that talk with Hunter. Joe Biden played the Big Guy on dozens of conference calls to Hunter’s wealthy clients, and here we are.

Most Republicans who express outrage at the pardon lack the moral authority to pack much punch.

Their fulminations ring hollow when they long supported the king of norm-breakers, the next president of the United States — the one who broke with centuries of American tradition and refused to concede defeat four years ago.

To name just one........
