3 more events that could mess up the election (again)

You probably don’t think much about the first game-changing event in the 2024 presidential election — it happened so long ago.

May 30.

That was all of two months ago.

For the first time in history, a jury criminally indicted an American president. Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felony counts.

Game over. Right?

Wrong.

In less than a month, the sitting president, Joe Biden, would face-plant so decisively in a presidential debate that Democrats were already looking for his replacement before the broadcast had ended.

Game over? Hardly.

Then came the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on July 13.

He not only survived. He survived with photographic gold — an heroic pose with blood on his face and the American flag in his backdrop. An ebullient Tucker Carlson declared game over. Trump won.

Uh, not quite.

Away from the cameras, the insurrection in the Democratic Party got serious and the arm-twisting intensified. On July 21, Joe Biden announced he would not run for reelection.

Then came the extraordinary rise of Kamala Harris and Democratic Party euphoria.

Everything has flipped. The national and battleground polls are all trending Democrat.

The true leaders of that party, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, are smiling. And Donald Trump is “in a foul mood,” reports the Washington Post.
