Kari Lake may have lost this week’s debate, but she scored an important win in the courts … possibly her first ever.
“What is Ruben Gallego hiding?” Lake asked in February.
The Arizona Court of Appeals on Thursday upheld a Yavapai County Superior Court judge’s order to unseal Ruben and Kate Gallego’s divorce records.
“Why are his divorce records SEALED?”Lake asked in April. “What is he hiding?”
The Gallegos, who claim that unsealing the records would endanger their 7-year-old son, have 30 days to appeal. But as of now, all the ugly will come pouring into public view on Oct. 17.
“Kari Lake will stop at nothing to score a cheap political point — even if it means endangering the privacy and well-being of our young son,” they said in a joint statement issued after Thursday’s ruling.
Naturally, Team Lake is just stunned that anyone would attempt to tie this good Christian woman to the effort to dig up dirt on her opponent, who leads in every public opinion poll.
“We have nothing to do with this lawsuit,” Lake’s senior adviser, Caroline Wren, said on Thursday, while attempting to keep her halo upright.
