On the eve of America’s high-stakes presidential election, Vladimir Putin and his Russian disinformation corps are getting a helping hand from one of Arizona’s not-so-favorite sons.
The Associated Press reports that Russia has been ramping up its propaganda campaign in recent weeks as Putin works to steer voters toward his pal, Donald Trump.
As part of his manipulation scheme, the Kremlin has been spreading false claims about the federal government’s response to deadly hurricanes that have devastated parts of six southeastern states.
Isn’t it nice to know that Arizona’s own U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar has been assisting in that effort?
It’s certainly not all that surprising.
Last year, Gosar, frustrated with the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine since Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, slammed President Joe Biden for visiting Kyiv.
“Ukraine is not our friend, and Russia is not our enemy,” Gosar said at the time.
