Donald Trump is the best at bringing out the worst of humanity, and he’s proud of it.
It’s been days since Trump supporters amused his crowd at Madison Square Garden by calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” denigrating Black and Latinos, and spewing cringe-worthy vulgarities.
Amid the furious backlash, Trump’s campaign tried to distance itself from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s comments about Puerto Rico, but it didn’t disavow the rest of the racist punchlines spewed throughout the rally.
“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” senior adviser Danielle Alvarez said.
What about Trump? Nah, the man himself is proud of it, calling the New York City rally nothing but a “love fest.”
That’s not just tone deaf.
It showcases his warped view of America and embraces the awful and racist behavior he plans for the next four years if he returns to the White House.
