Here’s the thing about America. You get to be whatever kind of citizen you want, at least for now.
What that means, as a voter, is that Arizona’s big, fat, two-page, front-and-back ballot should not intimidate you one bit.
Not long ago, Pima County Elections Director Constance Hargrove said, “It’s a long ballot, so we want people to make a plan, to study the propositions because there are a minimum of 13 propositions on each ballot … It’s really important they do their homework.”
Ahh … no.
If you want to do your homework, research all of the candidates for all of the many different offices, the 13 propositions, and all of the judges up for retention, more power to you.
