Statement by PAREMVASI
The US and Israeli attack on Iran is the definition of unprovoked and aggressive war and it should be blamed solely on these two forces which believe that they have the right of life and death over every person on earth and the right to overthrow governments and regimes in every country of the world.
Iran has every right to respond to this attack. Moreover, the pretexts invoked by Western imperialism and Zionism cannot withstand the slightest criticism. The US withdrew unilaterally from the nuclear deal with Iran, imposed exhaustive sanctions on Iran and no matter how many concessions Iran was willing to make during the recent negotiations on its nuclear program, the US government constantly brought up new humiliating conditions that amounted to Iran’s complete disarmament and surrender to Israel’s murderous fury.
The Greek government and the EU instead of condemning the attacker, they exceed all limits of cynicism and hypocrisy by condemning the defender. The Mitsotakis government in particular, an accomplice of the darkest circles of the murderer-state of Israel, has an even greater share of responsibility. Our government has turned our country into an open field for the operations of foreign secret services. The products of the surveillance of half of the cabinet and the military leadership have been made available to spy software companies in Israel. The American military bases on Greek territory – on Crete and Alexandroupoli – are being used for American attacks in Iran.
The people of Iran should rally around their leadership and fight to keep Iran united, sovereign, and independent, against the plans of the US and Israel to turn it into a place of death, as they did in the past in Libya and Syria.
