Yesterday, we covered how the press was defying a judge’s admonition to not publish details of the jury on the Donald Trump trial. Today, we have WaPo’s Aaron Blake coming out to admonish Jesse Waters for doing the same on his Fox News program, but then there was a bit of corrective measures taken.
Fox News host Jesse Watters on Tuesday broadcast extensive biographical details about Juror No. 2 -- her neighborhood, occupation, education, marital and family status, and what industry her fiance works in.
He concluded by saying, "I'm not so sure about Juror No. 2."

People were pointing out that Aaron’s own paper had done the exact same thing — Watters had basically read off of the WaPo report — but then his paper quietly removed that segment about the jurors from the article.
His change of narrative was rather, shall we say, noticeable.

Just harken back for half a second to how many times you have heard about the promise that Donald Trump will bring the end of democracy, shred the Constitution, and lead us into authoritarian rule, and all other manner of totalitarian nightmares.
Okay, cool – here’s Joe Biden bragging about flipping the middle finger to the Supreme Court in order to get his way. Note the deafening sound of crickets from the press.

Marking our calendars now to be sure to catch all those unfunny Democrats on his set!
This promises to hit the law of diminishing returns. While the Democrats are in Chicago for their national convention, the lengthy television coverage they will receive will be augmented by the decidedly leftist nighttime program “The Late Show,” which will be moving to Chicago in order to deliver more television coverage for the Democrats.

Apparently, “legendary” means “above criticism.”
As the National Public Radio fiasco continues to swirl, at the Washington Post, columnist Elahe Izadi does her best to restore the reputation of the news outlet she calls “legendary.” Her piece is filled with a long list of names from NPR contesting the contents of Uri Berliner’s now infamous column that detailed the leftist inner workings at the network. Nothing new at all is found.
Ms. Izadi delivers a list of denials about their biased approach to the news, and claims that Berliner has only fed conservative trolls on social media who want to trash the reputation of the network. We get more of what we have seen for over a week, claims that the column was filled with errors, but only spoken in generalities; no specific details are ever confronted.
The best is how the piece is choked with denials of NPR being one-sided, but all we are given are voices of support for the network. Nowhere will you see anyone giving a critical comment about NPR.
