Photo exhibition in Tokyo captures life 'as is' in N. Korea

A young couple, in smart clothes and sitting cheek to cheek, sip beer in a floating restaurant. A supermarket is well stocked with consumer goods, and many cars are on the road.

Shot in Pyongyang, these scenes show that life in the North Korean capital is no different from that in any other Asian city.

I saw these pictures on May 25 at "Kita Chosen 2016-2018" (North Korea 2016-2018), a photo exhibition in Tokyo's Roppongi district.
