OPINION: Nine All Blacks have been yellow/red carded, cited or have received a citing commissioner warning for high shots or contact to the head since Richie McCaw retired.

That's almost a starting team, and Kieran Read is among them.

In the last two years of McCaw's captaincy there was one.

Those are the facts. There have been some red herrings put up on both sides of the Remy Grosso argument this week but if we want to be honest about where the All Blacks' discipline is today this is a starting point.
